As long he hits 20 bombs and post a .270 BA no one will care about the defense.... I mean right now the dude has a .860 OPS which is outstanding

Aramis Ramirez
already said this will be his final year.

A lot of big names though, should be interesting.

Gonna suck to see the Reds lose him. I get the feeling he is severely underrated nationally by fans, but he's a top 5 pitcher

He will still get paid and rightfully so, but it will be interesting to see if it's at shortstop. He wasn't great defensively in the past.

finally signs in St.Louis, and comes back home.

they have a shite load of money coming off the books. 35+million.

That johnny peralta deal is brutal. 2 more years after this one.

Also interested to see what the market is like for Latos if he gets it turned around. He's talented but everything I've read is that he's a total dickhole and nobody likes him.

He has actually posted a positive defensive war the past 4 years

He has 1.3 dWAR over 5 seasons. He's been pretty average, and he turned down like 110 million this past offseason I believe. His bat will still play elsewhere though, but as a big shortstop already I could see teams wanting to move him.

which does go against how he is perceived, a lot of people seem to think he is one of the worst defensive shortstops in baseball. In reality he is just an average shortstop, but over time he may need to be moved to 2B.

I could see the Dodgers, Mets, Padres, Angels all opening up the wallets for him. Probably even a surprise team will as well since that always happens.

I'd be happy if Yankees grab either Zimmerman or Cuerto or both
