That's a big part of the reason they're consistently in the hunt for another ring. Additionally, the Hoodie has no problem running players down the road when their salary demands exceed their value to the team.

One reason why new Emgland has a lot more picks is they are willing to trade down an stay put an let the players fall to them an not get hung up on one player.

They trade ageing players for picks, players that they think can be upgraded, and picks that are close to their original while picking up an additional.

You can give them credit, but you have to look at it too...they've missed on A LOT of early rounds as well.

yea but the big difference is they have actually hit on defensive players.

and i know you didn't start with the "cut" labeling, but a guy like Brandon Meriweather who played 4 seasons and made 2 pro bowls with NE is kinda dumb.

That's like picking hairs off a gnat's arse. The bottom line is they still have 18 of the 23 players they've drafted since 2012. I'll take those numbers any day!

It is called continuing the conversation, you should learn how to do it some time.

If you were capable of following the thread, you would have noticed my response was to a post about judging the strength of prior drafts based on the success of the players being able to start or still with the team after being drafted. I simply elaborated about how majority of those defensive starters came form the first 3 rounds, and then implied lack of success in drafting good players may have to do with the fact that most defensive players drafted came from rounds in which not much is typically expected of the player.
