I think it might be detrimental to boxing. people that havent watched boxing but are intrigued by the fight will pay $100 to watch a boring fight thats more than likely going to come down to a decision.

Or it could be great.

Then people that decided to take a stand missed out on history.

When people question why there's more money and viewership in boxing I have to remind MMA lovers why.

Boxing is a sport built around its elite fighters. UFC is a organization that's only worried about its brand.

Elite fighters in boxing make 7 figures per fight, easily. Elite MMA fighters make what....300k?

Young kids see this and will take up boxing. Parents see this and will force their children into boxing.

and then they'll hear old fighters speak and be like "uh-ahhhhh"

we talk about football and concussions... what chance does a sport have where the point is to punch and be punched in the face?

i'll say this though... the way Deontay Wilder throws bombs, when he fights Klitschko to unify the belts, someone's getting KTFO

What about the long term mental health issues from boxing? Marciano1 knows it's only a matter of time before the same crybabies from the NFL make it to boxing?

What boxing needs is a reduction in championship belts, a stronger ranking system and a plan in place that doesn't allow boxers to play duck and run pick your opponent ala Floyd.

Also this fight will suck. Floyd is not an entertaining fighter just a great boxer. People have grown tired of his schtick and Manny is washed up. Not worth $100 at all.

No. They might throw down a few bucks, but not $100.

Won't matter. It'll still be the biggest grossing fight in history and it won't even be close.

There are few good heavyweights out there, they just need exposure and time to get better. The problem with the heavyweight division is it's been dominated by two Ukranian brothers that refused to fight each other to unify the division and haven't fought on US soil in quite some time although Vlad's next fight is going to be here.

The TV networks are what's ruined boxing and this fight is a prime example. The networks are the main reason this fight hasn't happened before now.
