What is even better is each time she hits a milestone such as 3 months 6 months 12months etc, you will say to yourself I wish she would stay like this forever. It's more gratifying each and every time.

Until that milestone is puberty, and then you'll be lthinking "How much longer is this going to last?!?"

J/k, it hasn't actually been that horrible with my 13 y. o....yet.

I do miss my itty-bitty babies, especially as they get too big to carry. Cherish them while you can.

I have 3 and 1 yr old girls with girl twins coming in Sept. I just spent most of this morning wrestling with them in the sofa. No better feeling then having them hug and love on you.

It's easy until #2 comes. You can play a soft zone against one but with two, they learn the holes in your zone and you're constantantly switching between cover 2, zone with man over the top, and straight man

Sometimes wife and I do a double blitz on one and other goes around the edge and fricks shite up. I've got 2 boys and 2 girls. I prefer them at the age of about 5-6 and up when most of the crying and wiping arses is done. Mine were of course potty trained well before that age but my older boy refused to wipe his own arse for a long time. Worst mistake ever was one day ignoring him and saying I'm not wiping your arse anymore. He said frick it and pulled his pants up and went to playing while I was outside. Wasn't good, he does that shite just to piss me off.

They conspire against us, raise my BP, set out toys for booby traps for me to step on getting out of bed, hide my tools, and eat all the damn food. Oh, they always need attention when wife and I are finally ready to frick. I love my kids though.

There are things I miss about them being babies but overall I don't miss that much. Around 5 or so, maybe even 4 you can get more involved as fishing, I take mine out to hunting land every summer and pick blackberries, watching you work on trucks, and playing ball. My 5 y/o has no interest in sports, all he cares about is trucks. My 3 y/o loves football and baseball. First few years are tough, of course depends on kid, and parent Congratulations though, there are definitely things I still miss about them being babies. Time goes by fast, my oldest is 16.

being a dad is awesome, no doubt, but it's a labor of love sometimes....

it's not always rainbows and unicorns, is what i'm saying, but I wouldn't change it for anything....

we are expecting our second in October and i'm so much more prepared this time around, in my personal life, so this time I will actually "experience" the whole thing... i'm pretty excited...

Congrats, and you're right!

Believe or not, it even gets better!

The next couple of months MIGHT be tough. They're little nervous systems have to get used to being in this big bright world!

Hang in there, and KNOW that it's gonna get REAL GOOD, REAL SOON!!

Been there. Kids = better. You won't understand it until you live it, though.

I don't have/don't want kids. So, yes there have been better experiences.

You don't want kids? That's it, constant cough is done. It's over.

I would have loved a girl like nothing else on this planet. When I imagined having a daughter I always saw her as my sunshine.

But a boy is special to a dad in a different way than a girl. It's your line, it's a connection to your ancestors, it's a best friend, it's a hunting buddy, a golf buddy, a football buddy. You can teach him everything you have learned about being a man, from whoever taught you and whatever you learned the hard way. I can't wait to pass on my life's lessons, or those from my grandfathers and father. I want him to be better than me. Achieve greater, love harder, and actually use the tools God has given him. I love him more than should be possible at this stage. It is unimaginable that people abort something this far along. I've seen him yawn, rub his eyes, and kick while doing cartwheels. All thanks to amazing technology.

My first born, a boy, is due in a month and a half. I could not have put my feelings any better than this.

As far as the kicks, they have a mind and a schedule of their own; however, the first time I pushed and he kicked back I squealed like a little girl.

Congrats man. My first was born a few days ago on Tuesday so I'm right there with you on the sleep deprivation. It is still pretty neat. She gets more and more interesting every day.

On Facebook a friend of mine announced a few days ago

"Two kids to four kids = switch from man to man to zone coverage defense."

They already have beautiful twin girls and are expecting two more.
