I agree that if she leaves to go do her own thing, she'll be pursued by them. Maybe she gets to a point in the training where she is confronted with a point of no return. So far, they keep giving her the option to leave.
I don't know if she gets booted, runs off, or gets sent somewhere and doesn't come back. It'd be cool if they send assassin(s) after an assassin, and she's fighting them off as she's working her list.
I'm thinking this point will be them confronting her with needle (the last remnant of her old identity), and telling her that she must throw it away if she wants to stay with them. If she chooses not to, she leaves and doesn't have to worry about them following her, but never completes the training.
She'll almost certainly meet up with Gendry again. Martin wouldn't have set that up just to ignore it. If she dies, she might warg into Nymeria and lead the pack in slaughtering her enemies, possibly a bloodbath mass slaughter of the Freys. Maybe that will happen either way.

So I just found out that Pod is Ser Illyn's cousin. It's like finding out that Cheese was Randy's dad on The Wire.

I read that a long time ago and they just say they're distant cousins. Kinda odd since every family has something to do with the other and they just have no report and it's not mentioned about them being related

I forget where Gendry is. In the show he left with Melisandre. In the books he was knighted by Thoros. I don't remember much else. I don't know what they'll do with him.
Her being a Stark means something has got to happen with Nymeria. Without a friggin doubt all the Freys get murdered. I feel like their line gets wiped out because of the guest rites thing. In the show and the books they are screwed

He was working at the inn with all of the kids. The last we saw him he was riding with Brienne to see Lady Stoneheart. At least, I think I remember him being with them. If not, he's still at the inn.

Everybody that's read the books has to have a boner for Aryas story.
I don't see how her efforts are not going to become a major factor in the end game.

How awesome would it be if the show killed off Arya this season?
It would be like the Red Wedding magnified for the book readers.
If the show producers know she dies in the story and plays a very minimal role in the end game, what difference does it make when she dies?
It's like the premature killing off of Mance this season. Apparently, he wasn't a big contributor to the end game.
I'm an Arya fan but I'd be cool with the show ending her if that's the way it's going to be in the books anyway.

It won't bother me if it's in there, but I'm okay if they leave it out. It just doesn't seem like what Arya (or at least Masie's Arya) would do in that situation.

Considering the way things have gone for the Starks in this series I fully expect:
Sansa to be tortured to death by Ramsay.
Arya will slip and fall on her own sword.
Jon will be stabbed in the back by Ygritte coming back from the dead as a Wight.

I might stop watching the show just because of this possibility.
I can wait on the books. Surely I would have no problem avoiding spoilers for 8 more years huh?

You need to read Arya's chapter, "Mercy", from tWoW that GRRM released last year. It would help answer y'all's question about where Arya is headed

Yeah, back to Westeros, but we don't know if she even makes it back

I don't think Martin spent that much time developing her character just to have her do little and die.
But like I said, if she did die, I could see her warging into Nymeria and rampaging all over Westeros with her massive wolf pack.

She'll make it back for sure.
