Yes, it does matter.

Coach loves to play vague with the press and the fans. He also loves to run the ball.

With the wet conditions for the Spring game, he gets to justify (if he chooses) to run it, and if the QB's don't perform well, if he chooses to, he can give them the benefit of the doubt.

All this is probably good news for Jennings, because the opportunity for a good assessment is going to be reduced.

On the other hand, ball protection will be tested well, and we know how vital that is to Miles, do the QB's have a chance to show that quality/ability to Coach.

As for Harris, it does give him more of an opportunity to show he can protect the ball, and if he rises up and has an exceptional passing performance, it could be big for him.

I know, no one knows for sure, so this is just bantering, which is mostly what the rant is all about.

You're projecting. The only people that put so much stock in ONE scrimmage from Spring Practice are idiot fans.

Certainly, in inclement conditions, it would be far for me to say that it never rains on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. But, it was very close to rain, if not a very stiff dew out there. Again, we had some flexibility in our offense that allowed us to do the things that we needed to do.”

Which part of one qb could go 15/15 for 200 yards 3 tds no picks rush for 50 yards and it still have no bearing whatsoever on who'll start this fall don't you understand?

You are right !!!

Unfortunately, this is the ONLY time the LSU coaches get to see the QB's in person for the whole spring since they never attend practice.

It sucks that the starting QB position is going to be determined today, in wet weather, and on the first time the coaches have ever seen either QB throw the ball or try to manage the offense.

SHEEZ !!!

Yeah because this scrimmage today is what is going to determine the starting QB for next season.

It will probably just serve as ANOTHER excuse why one of the two QBs can't get the job done.

Don't worry though...after another 10-12 years of being the starter he may achieve a 50% completion rate. We just need to be patient.

Today's game. Rain or not. Will have zero impact on the qb battle. To think otherwise would be ignorant. to know lsu football and Les miles, means nothing will be decided or even measured until the end of game 1

It doesn't matter what happens in the spring game. Sammy Joseph looked like an all American one year in the spring game after he transferred here and he never saw the field. Jefferson never looked better than Lee and he always got the nod. Spring games mean nothing. It's an excuse for fans to show how big of a fan they are by sitting through a miserable scrimmage.

It just depends on how hard the rain is. If it's not to bad they'll have a dry ball in every play. Rain always makes the little footwork, ball handling, and ball security amp up.....which will be good for both QB's. Just a little added pressure to see who can handle it.
