pels pick 18, goes to HOU

so:
pels traded the 18th pick, salmons, rivers & smith for asik, pondexter, cole and the 56th pick

rox traded Lin, asik, and the 27th pick for the 18th pick

but Morey is a genius and dell is overmatched...

The rox result wasn't bad. Better pick, got rid of two expensive players that were unhappy and didn't fit.

Yeah I think both teams did fine in the trade.

We didn't trade Smith. Dell made great moves but Morey was able to get Josh Smith and Corey Brewer with that money saved so if you're making that comparison, at least include all the moving parts.

I don't think there's any room for Morey bashing here, Asik and Lin were necessary stepping stones to where they are now and he was able to cash them out for 1st rounders. If we were to cash out Gordon and Ryno, do you honestly think we'd do much better?

not Morey bashing at all
also he didn't cash Lin and asik for 1st rnd picks...he sent a 1st out with Lin so he cashed them for one pick

yes they were stepping stones but so was trading 18 for asik and working the non guaranteed deals (gee, hopson, etc) to make the money work. Morey is good, but so is dell
