That sports science they did on him was nuts. He just watches the opponents feet and legs and basically decides what to do based solely on that. The reaction time that requires has got to be unbelievable.

Had to watch the match on tivo bc I was at a christening.

Good game Chelsea

United dominated the game but not enough chances and Chelsea took advantage of theirs.

Jose once again got it tactically right again.

Carrick out of the midfield and having Rooney not playing striker def def hurt.

Falcao was fouled by Terry on the goal but he still needs to be stronger there.

That Chelsea chick in the crowd giving the wanker at the end

Should have been a yellow on Herrera for a shameful dive.

He's super decisive, and it bleeds into basically everything that he does on the field, though it was more apparent when he was busting out 50 yard off the ball sprints while everyone else was just kind of walking around. He's slowed down some, so those don't come as frequently as they would.

All I could do was laugh at that

Falcao sealed his fate a full 90 and was bad his one chance and of the woodwork

United did what Jose allowed them to do.

Though I actually am not sure I fully agree here. I think it was a huge risk leaving Ivanovic alone on the right side and was fully expecting him to bring on Willian in like the 25th minute. That said if we had Costa or Remy we probably score 3 in the first half. Drogba's donkey touch/horrible passing cost us like three potential 1v1s for Hazard. United's tracking of his runs on the counters was horrendous.

Truth.

Though usually not the case in soccer, fortune favored the brave.

That was awesome.

Well since this is the match thread, Richmond kickers (1-0-2) about to take on Charlotte independence (0-1-1). Much excited this year for games as many teams have MLS affiliates (DC united for kickers, colorado rapids for Charlotte) or the MLS have introduced their B teams.

Its beautiful day. If any of you decide to become usl pro fans most broadcast their games live through their website for free.

Edit: totally missed the boat on Charlotte becoming independence and affiliation with Colorado

Final score 3-0 Kickers. Superb strike from outside the box and penalty kick to secure the victory.

Hat trick to George Davis.

Nice shot from Neagle!! Sounders go up early!

Neagle again! Not much defense in tonight's first half.
