Makes me sick to think a psycho-fig like Batman should ever have any sort of chance vs. a real super hero like Superman.

you really can't lump Schumacher and Burton together.
The first two and the last two are very different.

It's been mentioned many times in the comics that Batmans has files on every member of Justice Leagues' weaknesses. Batman couldn't win a straight up fight, bt he can win a fight he can set up.

Batman, becuase he is fricking batman, devises a way to be able to fight Superman, so that if the time comes, he will be able to stand up to Superman.

The two fight and shite and eventually form a shaky alliance. And that is really how it stays. Even in the comics. Batman is always distrustful of everyone, and they have faught multiple times in the comics.

And this is not meant to be a dig or a troll post, but those people who say "Batman could never fight Superman, or Batman would get his arse kicked, or Batman doesnt stand a chance, do not understand Batman.

He is a comic book superhero, not a normal person. He is also one of the smartest people on the planet when it comes to planning and technology.

Especially this batman (if you've read the comics). Who is older, and has been through some shite, and has developed and perfected his skills to their maximum level.

Batman as a tactician has kind of been lost on the live action adaptations. Ra's al Ghul hinted at it - "I will teach you to engage 600 men." Other than that, it's just not appreciated how clever Batman is.

Which JL movie was it, when everyone found out that Batman had a plan to kill or incapacitate every one of them? They were all pissed, and Batman was like "Why? I would hope each of you would have your own plan to eliminate me if I went crazy."

SPOILERS

quote:

Richard John Grayson, better known as Dick Grayson, is the first Robin who becomes Night wing and also has a brief stint as Batman. His father was known as John Grayson so it could possibly be him.

ETA: the second or third Robin, Jason Todd, is killed by the Joker in Death in the Family.

I'm just scrolling through this thread, so apologies for the late replies.

I seriously doubt this film goes through the trouble of addressing multiple characters that played Robin. If they're starting off with Robin already having been murdered by the Joker, they're probably merging those different Robins.

Feeling much better about the Wonder Woman costume after seeing this.

The new clip of Supes and Bats charging each other is slightly awesome as well

For sure. They're nailing Batman. The Superman fans are feeling left out. I think once Superman is more established in the world (after he helps save the world a couple of times), a lighter approach for him in his own movies is very possible. Not full on "All American Superman", but something lighter.
