That's exactly how I recall Sizzler as a child. The place was amazing.
I think I went to one in BFE Mississippi a couple of years ago before an Arkansas game. It was terrible. How can an American institution let us all down?

Saw one in Bogalusa, LA about 5 years ago. At that time, I didn't know they still existed. Unfortunately, I did not stop in and load up.

According to their website they're still open.
Never eaten at a sizzler. Thought at first you were talking about western sizzlin. Those were the bomb back in the day.

There's one about 15 min from me in Torrance, CA. I almost ate there on Saturday just because the wife has never been to one.

What is the difference between a Sizzler and a Western Sizzlin? I remember going to the Sizzler in Alexandria when I was a wee lad. Based on what I remember, the Western Sizzlin is damn near the same -- decor, menu, food quality. I figured one morphed into the other.
Side note: The pub burger at Red Robin tastes like a Sizzler hamburger. That's a good thing in my book.
