Spahr's

Is always packed. I stopped there once and it was decent. Pretty much a typical seafood/fried food joint.

Spahr's. Fried crab claws to start....but ask first if they're fresh or frozen. If frozen, decline. Then have a child's catfish chips plate. It's way more than enough food for a grownup (unless your're a lumberjack). Catfish chips are the tender, small belly pieces...easily the best part.

Have a bloody mary, play some video poker....

Thanks. I guess we will head to Spahr's. Can't find anything on the Sailfish place.

Theres soup and salad specials. Me and the wife typically split a fried fish appetizer, a bowl of gumbo (both types are real good) and a salad. Its less than $30 for us two. Youll have to get over the fact thats in a gas station but it is a full service sit down restaurant. They make a real good roast beef poboy, andn in find their fried food to be better than Spahrs. They also had more than just catfish, they typically have snapper and sometimes trout and grouper as well.
