South Carolina
UNC

Michigan
Utah

Minnesota
TCU

You know my answer obviously, but these all could end up being close, exciting ones. Will Jerry Kill take the gophers even further and knock off TCU (Minnesota play a very good game against USC on the road a few years ago to open the season). Will South Carolina show off an improved defense?

Pretty sure last year there was only one anticipated game on the first Thursday. There are 3 this year.

Ole Miss and Boise was a pretty good game too last year. Well anticipated, didn't actually end up very exciting.

Michigan/Utah. Utah had a solid team last year and a good defense. This will be a good measuring stick right out of the gate to see where Harbaugh has his team. If Michigan gets smoked, it'll get way overblown. If they lose close, it'll show a sign of progress. If they win, there will be too much early talk of a potential huge debut season for Harbaugh, but it would be a HUGE win for them to show right away that things are pointing up.

They kicked our arse in the big house, and their player did a Heisman pose after he returned a punt for a touchdown (we somehow only had nine guys on the field for the punt).

Other than last season South Carolina opens up every season on Thursday against another shitty Carolina team. Excited for that again.

Michigan/Utah? Meh because of OP.

I'm definitely interested to see how Michigan looks this year, so it's easily their game, for me.

Harbaugh has a way of toughening his teams up and it isn't like he's inheriting a team with zero talent like he did at Stanford, but he needs to settle on a QB early and get him lots of reps in fall camp. I'm guessing Rudock will be their guy. He got benched at Iowa for some reason even though he had a pretty good year.

Michigan/Utah will be the best game but overall that's a pretty shitty lineup

Neutral site game in Charlotte. Looking forward to a half empty BoA Stadium and dead atmosphere.
