Hey what ever happened with Judy Lyongs suing the Knights after she was acquitted of fraud for doing $650,000 worth of interior decorating for the Knights?

Bendel Gardens was the old money neighborhood back then (and still is today).
I would call it an old neighborhood with upper middle class money. There were some real bargains in there a few years ago.
In the 60s and 70s, clever geologists made fortunes. In the 70s and 80s, good ole boys made money in oil services. But many were over-leveraged and couldn't make debt payments in the mid 80s, so they collapsed as their assets were sold off for $.10 on the $1.00. Many prominent citizens left (or fled) town. And they carried honest, but business naive, investors with them.
I expect Lafayette to see more of this type of thing (without the ridiculous framing and racketeering) in the next few years.
The economy has diversified a good bit over the years though.

Is Moreno broke or did he just loose some big bucks on a few bad investments?
LINK /
they built a business on frac pumpers fueled on location by field gas and they had problems with them. So they lost their market share, the business started to falter, they couldnt meet their debt load, Moreno recognized they probably weren't going to recover so he and his buddies gutted the financial side of the business and left the assets for chapter 11.
He also got screwed over by the Stanford Financial ponzi scheme a few years back.
Moreno had pledged ~$10 million to pay for renovations to Tigue Moore field, but had to pull out when he lost around $20M in the Stanford deal

Mouton Gardens Negroze
River Ranch is the Haight/Ashbury of douchebags, but it's actually pretty nice. If I were a 30-year-old woman who wanted to live beyond her means, that's where I'd go.
Nothing today. Guess we'll have to wait.

Supa, 99% of these comments are max stretches and delusional, with the exception of G-Vice.
