I guess some might say Jordan Spieth has to prove himself a little more before this comparison is valid, but the kid did almost win the Masters last year.

I would have to go with McIlroy. I think Spieth might act as a source of motivativation for Rory, kind of like Jack and Arnie back in the day. Of course, as great as Arnold Palmer was, Jack passed him up and never looked back.

Golf Channel dorks were discussing who has the better A game and seemed to think Rory because of length. I still think Rory has the better career, but that's easy to say when he already has four majors.

Impossible to say. McIlroy has played in 26 majors. Spieth in 9.

Spieth has showed out at Augusta, but hasn't done exceptionally great in the other majors. Gonna have to do more than play well at the Masters to keep up with Rory.

Spieth is a better putter. He will win many majors.

If Rory doesn't knock off those roids and coke, he's gonna end up like T Wizzle without all the wins.

Yeah, it's going to be fun.

Not that Tiger Woods is done by any means, but it seems like golf has been looking for a superstar to put golf back to the level where it was when Tiger was dominant. Maybe the answer is a rivalry between two great players, because as much as I like Rory, he hasn't been able to restore golf to that level by himself.

Now an American comes along, and hopefully he keeps playing near this level. Maybe McIlroy vs. Spieth is the next big thing in golf.

Speith may win more tournaments, but Rory will win more majors. Rory isn't consistently great because he's not as focused. But he tunes in for the majors.

Post-Wozniacki Rory seems about as focused on golf as you can be. Did you read the Golf Digest feature on him? His focus seems to on nothing but golf (and hitting the gym for golf).

Spieth has a phenomenal short game.

I think Rory will probably end with more Majors because he seems to be a little more complete in all facets of his game. Then again Spieth is only 21...

It's impossible to say now who will win the most. Regardless, the game is in good hands with those two for years to come. I'm a fan of both.

I think Spieth will be more consistent over the next decade, but McIlroy will have some insane runs with some mediocrity mixed in.

The crazy thing about today is that McIlroy shot a 66 and probably missed 4-5 makeable putts inside 10 feet. He was stroking it with his irons.
