Can I just post random obscure ones I like?

T&C Surf Designs - Skateboarding and Surfing, wear a weird mask, fun as hell

MC Kids - the entire game is a McDonald's ad, but it is legitimately one of the most creative platformers of all time. Seriously it's fun. Music gets old though.

Rygar - it's a Metroid/Zelda type game, great controls, very original. But they forgot to include a save or a password system! Gotta emulate it and use savestates.

Anticipation - it's pictionary meets trivial pursuit board game, with oddly sexual/religious/adult themes! Play it drunk.

I'm pretty sure the game is never-ending, arcade style. Definitely never beat it. The controls on the surfing part are pretty wonky

Or

Both very underrated. Only thing is, they are very expensive now. Emulate them. Everyone needs to play these two.

Thrilla's Surfari was a great follow up.

I also loved Double Dragon II and Mega Man III

I'll go with something slightly less obvious and say "Bionic Commando."

The HD remake, "Bionic Commando: Rearmed," is quite good for those who want to check out this game without going all the way back to the NES days.

Not my favorite, but an obscure game I used to like as a kid.
