Folks,

What Philanthropic ranking would stand a good chance of upgrading Tiger Stadium seats this year?

Way higher than that. Depends on where you want to upgrade to.

I'm currently at 10 points and will be at 13 next year.. That's when I'm targeting tickets.

Should I expect anything other than upper deck seats? Looking for 2 maybe 4

Nope. That will be upper deck tickets. I was currently in the same boat 2 years ago. Just take the upper deck and put in for a upgrade every year

Surprised you were able to get a pair even in upper deck at 13 pts. I have 26 pts and have yet to request tickets.

That sucks man. Last year was your chance..buddy got a pair in the south lower and he didn't have any points. Just signed up for the waiting list.

Last year was unique with the new south expansion and they moved a lot of the visitor tickets so a bunch of South End tickets opened up. I had a shot at 4 together in south but when with 2 pairs in the north that are on the same row but a few seats apart.

How much is a 1 point worth? Say you donate 100.00 a year?

I think you get three points for the first $100 and it drops off pretty sharply after that...

OP, what you have may get you some in the upper deck and if so, I recommend you take them as they are better seats(and also more expensive) than those in the south endzone...

100 bucks a year will get you 3 points every year. 3.2 to be exact.

I'm not certain how many I had last year but I have 11 now and was able to get a pair of lowers last season. Two together in 410 to be exact. The colors showed only singles but I checked and there they were. Guess I got lucky.

Yes he did. He had to ask me how to even get on the waiting list period. He never donated ever.

He had seats in the south endzone with his wife.

I have about 30 philathropic points and am in the west upper, but literally on the 50 yard line. upgraded last year and was only able to move about 4 rows down.

People with less points than me could easily get 20 yard line west uppers, east uppers since you stare into the sun, and corner of the endzones.

Also you can get single tickets with pretty low points, but that wouldn't be fun.

I have 17.05 now so I guess I was at 14 last year. I remember sitting at the computer watching all the pairs in the SEZ disappear as I waited my turn to pick. I was able to get 4 together starting at the aisle in the East Upper with no TAF fees. They actually turned out to be very good seats for the money.

Are they together? When I got tickets last year with 13 points there were no tickets in the SEZ available 2 minutes before I could pick. There were singles that were scattered. Ended up getting 3 in low East upper deck

And yes Im calling BS as well.

Same here.. Im the second row of no TAF fees on the 40.

BUT BUT... Someone got season tickets in the SEZ without donating any money..

There is something seriously missing from that story.

I have 4 together on the aisle in the West Upper. I've never donated $1. Got them in 2006. I still don't donate b/c I know the chance of me getting a high enough ranking to get 4 together in the lower level is next to impossible.
