I think this might be a swerve, I figure there will still be a mid credit scene that way this statement is still true and they can still surprise fans.
(EDIT: There is a mid credit scene, I will keep post intact and bare my shame)

No better way to raise the profile of AoS then to have the superpowered Daisy Skye Johnson to be in Age of Ultron.
but I'd be shocked if the mid credits scene doesn't reference the Infinity War, so Nebula is a real solid choice.

I'm giving it a 95% chance of it being Carol Danvers as part of the new Avengers team with Cap, Black Panther, and maybe Ant Man. Supposedly the part has already been cast in secret and not yet announced.

That is what I thought. Lady Death is the only one that Thanos ever actually loved.
I doubt they bring her into this story, but it would be pretty cool if a scene with her and Thanos was it. Give him a bit of a backstory and his actions reason.
