I hope not, she's not on the playing field of these guys. Hell I'd rather see Tigra than her.

which does make Danvers the logical choice. I'm partial to the Spectrum/Captain Marvel character but she's not very big in pop culture so that's almost certainly a no go
I actually would like the Rambeau Captain Marvel. Cool power set and adds a female black character.

I doubt they go that route, but I hope they do.

Hell no.

We don't need any new, weak characters.

Capt Marvel
Valkyrie
Sif
Crystal
Medusa
She-Hulk (hopefully not this one)

Those are all the levels of strength I want.

well if we are excluding comic fans and just looking at what the MCU has shown us its a pretty limited set of characters that it could be.

Skye/Daisy/Quake (her reveal kicks off Civil War b/c Tony is mad she has so many names?)
Melinda May
Jemma Simmons
Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird
Victoria Hand (would have to be as an LMD)
Raina
Audrey Nathan (would require appearance by Coulson)
Lorelei
Sif
Jane Foster
Darcy (lol, you know you want her)
Frigga (a vision caused by Scarlett Witch?)
Pepper Potts
Ellen Brandt (maybe she survived her injuries in IM3?)
Christine Everhart (reporter Tony slept w/from IM1&2)
Betty Ross
Councilwoman Hawley (the female World Security Council member)
Sharon Carter/Agent 13
Gamora
Nebula
Nova Prime/Irani Rael
Claire Wise (unlocked Chitauri tech in one shot Item 47)
Jessica Jones (perhaps her origin for the show is taken care of here?)

There it is. Other than Black Widow and Peggy Carter that's pretty much every single female character in the MCU that has had any significant amount of screen time.

Kind of depressing really and once you take out the AOS characters it gets even worse. I almost put the waitress from The Avengers in there simply b/c she was a semi known actress from being on Growing Pains.

Ok, I have seen a handful of these marvel movies and I am currently watching the avengers. With all the movies they have come out with can anyone put them in an order I should watch them in?

Plus she's a New Orleans girl (started as a officer in the "harbor patrol" or something like that before becoming a superhero.

Only thing about her is that her power set is pretty high level. She would be a great member for a cosmic or space based team but I'm not so sure about a lot of earth based threats.

The Avengers threats are usually pretty heavy. Ultron, Thanos, the Chitauri. All powerful or large enough for Spectrum to be validated.

I know. I guess I just have such fond memories of some of the less powerful teams over the years - Cap's Kooky Quartet with Captain America, Hawkeye, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. And the team with a Goliath stuck at 10 feet and the Wasp. Teams with the Black Panter and Black Knight, etc.

I guess maybe those kind of movies wouldn't play as well on the big screen. Although the Guardians of the Galaxy last year wasn't a super powerful team and they did well, even in a space based movie.

Just to confirm, how did Angela end up in the Marvel Universe? I saw a brief blurb on her being a child of Odin, but what happened with her being part of Image Comics?

Well, I've never heard of the character before. But I think this might answer your question:

WIikipedia article on Angela

Thanks. Kind of cool on one hand, but strange on the other to see her in GOTG.
