A few chunks of meat in a watery gravy shouldn't be more than about ten bucks.

Sushi is astronomically high these days.

You can get quality Thai for cheap at places like Rama. You can also get ripped off at shite places like Sukho Thai.

Can you be banned from1/2 the site?

(Bring the mountain to Mohammad). I'm not shocked you know little of economics. The fewer choices, the more inelastic the price.

You fricking idiot. The thread speaks to "overpriced" not "affordable". Italian staple dishes are damn cheap to make. I consider it overpriced in any higher end setting.

Standard Italian isn't "expensive" but it is marked up to hell. Profit margins on basic pasta dishes are insane.

Heaven forbid someone in the restaurant business charge enough to cover payroll and rent and insurance.

If you don't like the prices cook yourself

Based on your description of Thai food I doubt that you've ever consumed any.

Are you Siamese? I can't imagine why anybody should get so upset otherwise.

Thai always seems expensive to me too, but Mexican food has gotten ridiculous.

where are you going that Thai is so expensive? It does not stand out for being expensive.

You would pay 10 bucks for meat chunks in water?

I don't know if it's fairly priced or not, but I am very glad my lady doesn't have a hard on for French food.
