Two players with possible character issues. Doubt this will go down.

Too many red flags. It would suck to draft two first rounders and have them get suspended.

People keep bringing up us not drafting "low character guys" when we just signed Browner, a guy one drug test away from being suspended for a long time, to multi-year deal.

Is that still true with the new drug testing policy? It depends if this is considered his 3rd or 4th failure, most likely his 3rd which would result in a 4 game fine. If it is his 4th, it would be a 4th game suspension

Also, the testing standards for weed have been eased.

So I don't think he'd miss any games with another positive test, which probably played a big role in our decision.

He only popped for weed once and it was his first year out of college. The other was for adderal. That is the only failed tests he has had.

Well the NFL doesn't release what it specifically was, but it was supposedly weed both times.

quote:

The Seahawks cornerback was suspended indefinitely by the NFL in December after testing positive for marijuana. That would earn most players a four-game ban, the equivalent of a slap on the wrist. But Browner is looking at a lifetime ban because he's considered a repeat offender.

Browner tested positive for marijuana as a rookie in 2005. He never played that year, spending the season on injured reserve after breaking his forearm during the preseason. He was cut by the Denver Broncos before the 2006 season began, and no team picked him up.

The NFL tried to say his missed drug tests when he was in Canada counted.

The addy drug test would fall under the performance enhancing drug. I think that one was in 2012

Yeah, but we know CSP doesn't think drug use is a big deal.
