Does this excerpt from a family member's blog make sense to anyone?

I'm not the brightest crayon in the box so maybe yall can help me decipher what's going on in his head.

What is truth?

Truth is a myth, like religion-it isn’t real & reality doesn’t give a shite how you "feel." Truth is an idea never to be achieved only sought. Like religion, politics & money-truth is just a thought. We invented our language & with it that 5 letter word used to justify injustices regardless of what you’ve heard & to validate persecutions of peoples for years. Enslaving our species with their psychological fears. My goal as I perceive it is to change how people think. Try to show people my TRUTH. Try to show them the link that will finally free their minds from the executioner of knowledge.

I know you're still desperately searching for the next ex miss SS, but at least try to help me out here. The dude wants my feedback and I've got nothing for him.

Congrats having Keanu in the family, dude.

I think what he's trying to say is that he's disappointed in you because your life is in shambles.
My interpretation is that he wants you to:

He is trying to sound philosophical and deep. His idea that "truth is a myth" doesn't mean anything. It is just catchy and means something only to those who see themselves as "intellectuals".
I would imagine that he is likely young, possibly in college, leans democrat in ideology, considers anyone who is religious to be a moron, and considers himself politically savvy, especially in regards to social issues.
I also bet he is single.

All of his stuff comes across as someone who is extremely high and attempting to get DEEP through big words but completely lacking in any real substance/original thought. Mostly just pushing some personal agenda against religion.

you hit the nail on the head across the board except for the single part. Well done as always Scruffy. It's extremely challenging for me to give him my honest opinion on his writings because I don't want to poop in his punch bowl. He constantly asks me to read his stuff and for some reason values my opinion on them but I just cant figure out how to do it without hurting his feels. He's in some kind of phase and is all gung-ho about this soul searching pilgrimage he's on and wants me to support it through critiquing, contributing and giving my opinion on his stuff but I just can't. It sucks

He rambled this off way back in 2011. I'm sure he was just loaded .

In a way, he's right.
Truth can be a grand illusion to anyone. The only person who can Rosetta Stone this blog for you is ... Paige. I can't think of anyone here who so adamantly and consciously chooses to deny her own truths of her being more.
In people, truth can be anything we want it to be. The recognition and acceptance that this illusion has been proven false is the hard part for some.
In short, accept who we are. Listen to outside perceptions. Conceive who we want to be. Execute and prove you have transformed. Make it last.

Sounds like some of that Scientology b.s.

quote:
What then is truth? A mobile army of metaphors, metonyms, and anthropomorphisms -- in short, a sum of human relations, which have been enhanced, transposed, and embellished poetically and rhetorically, and which after long use seem firm, canonical, and obligatory to a people: truths are illusions about which one has forgotten that is what they are; metaphors which are worn out and without sensuous power; coins which have lost their pictures and now matter only as metal, no longer as coins.
We still do not know where the urge for truth comes from; for as yet we have heard only of the obligation imposed by society that it should exist: to be truthful means using the customary metaphors - in moral terms, the obligation to lie according to fixed convention, to lie herd-like in a style obligatory for all...

The dude is probably taking an intro to philosophy class and just discovered Nietzche. Cut him some slack.

Basically has excused his/her way out of ever having to be truthful. The "not my fault" generation.
