No, there is knowing that he's good and knowing just how good. Big difference.
I'll add more:
In addition to all the amazing YouTube highlight reels, I've seen Ben live at the Alario center tourney recently, and he was simply dominant. You could just see he was on another level from the other high schoolers. I've also watched at least 5 Monte Verde games live on tv since he was a sophomore, and he has always stood out no matter the quality of the opposing team.
However, this was the first time I've seen him in an organized game against guys supposedly at or near his future-pro level, and there was simply no one comparable.
I always knew he was "good", but now I truly know, for the first time, " just how good".

He faked a bounce pass with his last dribble.
Nah, I finally figured it out: when his is going up-court, he is dribbling side-to-side, left hand-right hand.
When the ball goes back to his left hand as he is approaching Ingram, instead of swinging the ball back to his right hand, he re-dribbles with his left hand and picks up the ball away from Ingram.
The quicker burst in dribbling gives the illusion he was doing something else, but was just intelligently keeping the ball to the far side of the defender.

Holy shite, Benny's passing game is top notch. These guys are going to be REAL GOOD at LSU.

Blakeney played really good on-ball defense against Newman in the 1st.
Ben Simmons will put up ridiculous stats at LSU, wouldn't be surprised if he led the team in 4 or 5 categories.

6'10, supremely athletic, unselfish, strong, fast, ridiculous passer, top flight ball handler, good outside shooter, the whole see things before they're happening, excellent rebounder, and just a great kid. He's like the player you make in NBA 2k with all 99 stats.
Yep. Only thing you missed is how great he is with both hands. Similar to a soccer player who is both footed. Simmons is a once a generation talent.

Yeah sucks being single footed playing soccer, but after years of hopping around the leg is really good now.
