At the moment I will go under. 7-8 wins IMO. Leaning 8. There will be growing pains with our "new style" of play. Unless the defense really takes off and plays lights out we're left with a mediocre-at-best D and an offense that has no passing weapons.

Under----until the saints field a competent defense and offensive line they won't win many games

Sorta ridiculous to make this prediction BEFORE the draft, esp. a draft where we will have 5 picks in the first 75 or so selections.

But if I had to predict based on what we have NOW before the draft, I'd say under 9 wins.

I see way too many people making the same mistake of basing predictions off of last year (and not just for our team). We went 7-9 and 8-8 before going 13-3 and winning the super bowl. We went 13-3, 11-5, and 13-3 before going 7-9 and having the "worst defense ever". The year after having the "worst defense ever" we went 11-5 and ranked 4th in defense.

The Pats are about the only team you can say will have 10 wins or more every year.

Also, the year we had the "worst defense ever", the next year we had almost all the same players (adding only Lewis and Vaccaro from recollection) and turned it around.

This year we have almost the same players on defense(adding Ellerbe and Browner and you can pretty much say Byrd plus whoever we draft). What the result will be we will have to find out but you cannot base it off of last year.

I'd set 9.5 and I'd go over.

It'll be interesting. I don't think anyone from the South will be that good this year.

Certainly can't be any worse.

I think 7 wins is the floor for the Saints with 13 being the ceiling, depends on the draft.

Just a guess:

Saints 10-6
Falcons 9-7
Panthers 8-8
Bucs 5-11

Under unless defence dramatically improves, drew can stop throwing interceptions at the back end of games, and oline improves a ton.
