Im sure they will find someone. Between Stewart and Colbert they have a good track record. Id bet on them to do so until proven wrong.

Yes

He's just to ingrained in the show for it to continue without him

Now if they change it the way they changed the Colbert report to a totally different show then it might

I want to like him but the setup is aweful with spending 1/2 the show talking to "meh" guests and doing the stupid keeping it hunned bit.

John Oliver is fricking money though.

I don't think it will "die". I do think it will be less substantial in the political world with an unknown at the helm.

John Oliver is doing great, and you can watch his stuff on YouTube without subscribing to HBO. I think he is the new king of this genre.

The only things that are different with Oliver is that it is once a week and he doesn't do interviews. Jon Stewart actually did some interesting interviews.

It didn't miss a beat when Oliver hosted last summer. I don't know why anyone would think it would go away unless it's just wishful thinking from conservatives

I'll give the new guy a shot, but I'm not going to watch it just to watch it. If it sucks without Stewart, I'll find something else.

Don't care for Larry Wilmore's show either. Which is a shame, because he could be funny at times on the Daily Show.

That's because John Oliver is awesome, not because Stewart is easily replaceable

<=====conservative. Suck it

The format and the writers aren't leaving. It may not be as good but it will still be relevant.

Yeah, Oliver is killing it over there, and has complete creative freedom to go after whoever he wants, which I don't think Stewart has. If he's given a comparable salary, I'm not even sure if he'd want to do the Daily Show anymore given that he only has to do that once a week.

The PC Police are already after the new guy because of his past twitters.
