Its very common.

They will get an US. Might be a small perigestational hemorrhage. Nothing they can do, it just has to work itself out.

You are wasting your money in the ER.

I thought so as well. Our doctors on call nurse told us to come. She's probably getting a kickback.

No, she just isn't really in a position to give out specific medical advice like that over the phone since she is just a nurse. She will tell you to go to the ER to protect herself legally.

Hopefully it's nothing serious, hope your gf and the baby are ok

My wife actually bled a lot in week 20. Something with a low hanging placenta. She was classified as a high risk pregnancy, and put on bed rest the remainder of the time.

Very scary, and we thought for sure we lost the baby, but 4 years later and all is well.

Good luck.

Just by bleeding she is an "at risk" pregnancy. Call her OB/GYN.

She may have a good one who will not just say "go to the ER."

BUT if she has yet to have an ultrasound? Go to the ER!!

No ultrasound means you don't know if she has an ectopic or not.

Good luck.

That's not unusual in early pregnancy. Good to get it checked out though...you will both sleep better. Best of luck!!

Mrs. Baby had the same at around the same time during pregnancy. Went to doc and she found out that not only was everything ok, but the babies were fine too.

Good luck

She was fine with it. It just kind of had us both nervous throughout the pregnancy.

Think of all the series on netflix you could watch though

But yeah, that sounds pretty miserable. But understandably you do what is necessary to keep baby safe no matter what.
