Also, for any not familiar with South Carolina as of late, it's a program going through a bit of a split. On one hand you have guys like Marcus Lattimore, Stephon Gilmore, and (love him or hate him) DJ Swearinger. These are guys who built that program, will give you everything they have, and max their talent out to the most of their abilities.

On the other hand you have the Clowney crew who skates by on physical gifts and not much else. Cann falls into that crew. He's not someone who will bring it every play. We don't need any of that shite.

I've said it before and ill say it again, Lockett is 1 of my favorite players in the entire draft. Kid has an "it" factor and always makes plays. That said, I do think he's very similar to Cooks and I'm not sure if that's the route we go. But I am a huge Lockett fan.

I don't think Petty or Orchard goes in the first. Petty will probably be a late second day, early third day pick IMO. And Orchard is a fringe second rounder.

Also don't think Lockett lasts that long. I think he'll be taken before the third round starts. He may be small but he's got an NFL skill-set already at WR.

Also doubt the Falcons make that trade. I think they'd be perfectly fine sitting right at 8 and taking whichever pass rusher falls to them. I would bet money they trade back before they trade up.

I wouldn't be overly excited about this draft but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Quinn coached Fowler in college and loves the dude. So if he can get him I think he does.

I really pay no attention to mocks with trades. The draft is unpredictable enough muchless trying to predict trades. Philly to move up from 20 to #2?
Mariota certainly could be had later than that. Even possibly on the board at 20.

That move for Philly would cost all 7 picks this year, their 2016 1st, and a little more. Realistic?

Also, mock trades are an easy way to get the players you want to fall to your team.

My trade involved trading Bradford with picks

One of many pages talking about it..... LINK

I just don't think he fits with the Falcons. IF they took him he'd probably have to play LEO and it's still up for debate if he's got the necessary outside pass rushing skills for that role.

Also when Quinn had Fowler he was a 280 lb, he's now, and been, down to 260 and would play a different role.

I'm not saying the Falcons wouldn't possibly take him if he fell to 8. I'm just saying I don't think they trade up for him. Especially with all the other top-end pass rushers available. I would assume guys like Ray and Gregory are high on their board as they'd fit the role they need. And they can sit put and get those guys.

Besides you said that last year when I said we would move up and trade a 3rd to the Cardinals to draft Brandon Cooks and I was dead on with that...... So there.

I only mock trade when I have reason to believe they are going to happen.

Josue Matias G, Florida State

There is a consensus growing Matias is the 3rd best guard in the draft. The Saints might be better off grabbing TJ Clemmings at #31 and moving him inside. I doubt Clemmings falls too far into the 2nd Round if he isn't selected in the 1st.

Like someone said, he is similar to Cooks. If we are waiting til the 3rd to take a WR, we should at least look for some more size. Speed to go along with it wouldnt hurt, either.

If we are waiting til after RD1, Id rather a Nelson Alghor type.

In my opinion, we get a size/speed guy in the first, whether at 13 or 31 depending on how things play out. One of Devante Parker, Perriman, DGB, or Strong. I know these guys have been mentioned numerous times, but it just makes too much sense.

Oh yeah I definitely agree. I don't really want Lockett(not saying he won't be good), but I was just saying even if we were targeting him I don't think he'd be there in the 3rd.

And yeah I like Agholor. We'd probably have to take him at 31. There's a chance he could get to 44, but if the FO likes him they can't take that chance.

And yet again, I agree. If it's down to like Waynes, Ray or Parker I would hope we take Parker at 13 - I think he's going to be a stud. And if not get somebody at 31 or 44. I wouldn't mind taking a WR at 31 because we can get somebody like Dawson or possibly Anthony at 44 of we decided to go that route.

I agree about the WR stuff guys. When I do a mock its not necessarily what I want to happen its what I think will happen. They have met with Lockett twice and seem to have intetest. I actually want one of Perriman, Strong, Agohlor or Greenberry.

Bryce Petty in the 1st round?

There's slim pickings after the first 2 QBs go off the board, which could within the first 2 picks...anything can happen.

Jets trade their 2nd round pick #37 and their 4th round pick #104 to the New Orleans Saints for pick #31

The Jets would be getting the better of this trade. A low 1st round pick has pretty good market value because of the 5th year option. If that 4th was a 3rd, that's a good deal.

I was going off the trade value list....

So our pick is worth 600, their 2 are worth 530 & 86 adding up to 616. Which actually puts us getting the better of the deal.
