The Miles Journey at LSU - Years 11,12 and 13 - Good or Great?

(edited to add option c below)
CLM has been the most talked about coach in all of college football, and maybe in all of sports in his 10 years at LSU. (Saban is the most respected in the college game, but I would argue Les is talked about just as much in the last 10 years)
Major ups and major downs. Major risks that paid off, and many inexplicable decisions that did not.
All things considered, no matter your preference in style of coaching, he has been a major positive to the LSU brand around the nation.
Kids in their teens have known LSU all of their football watching days as a power to be reckoned with, and has any college football team been on national TV more often? I doubt it.
Miles has made many mistakes and many successful moves. He is now at a point where he has a chance to integrate lessons from those mistakes and successes into the Tiger football program.
Looking forward, the "window of decisiveness" in terms of his legacy will come to fruition in the next 3 seasons.
In this timeframe, Les will either be thought of as a man who was very interesting who gets great talent and does great things, or a man who gets great talent and does good things. Great things means winning more SEC championships and making the football playoffs, and playing well in games within the playoffs. Good things is winning 9, 10 or 11 games, but not the ones that allow the Tigers to be in the championship games.
Like most of you, I have enjoyed and agonized during the 10 years of the roller coaster ride.
There are many reasons to be excited, and valid reasons to be concerned.
I think we are postured to be great in years 11, 12 and 13.
If Miles has the ability to show some humility and learning, he has the coaching staff and the roster.
Do you think LSU will be:
A) Good or Very Good in the next 3 years (not winning championship at the SEC nor national level, but winning enough to be feared and considered a consistent contender)
-or-
B) Great (winning at least one championship at the SEC and making a strong appearance in the playoffs for a National championship)
-or-
C) Losing 3-5 games a year. middle of the pack or worse in the SEC West, with a lot of frustration on offense.
What camp are you in? Will the next few years be great, just good, or underachieving and frustrating?

Miles is going into another year without a QB. I'm Not looking for great things this season. Next season the gloves come off.

I've seen nothing from Jennings or Harris that indicates to me that they can win an SEC championship and compete for a spot in the CFP.
That means Justin McMillan or Felipe Franks are going to be the "next big thing" that we'll all pin our hopes on and crown before they've played a game at LSU.
Not an overly optimistic situation imo. If we're dead last in the SEC again this year in QB play then the only reason we don't finish last is because Moo State lost almost everyone, Alabama is replacing a lot of key players, Arkansas comes to BR, and A&M and Ole Miss still have Sumlin and Freeze calling the shots.

We don't have an SEC qb so it will be more of the same.

I agree a great deal depends on QB play in 2015 thru 2017. Always an interesting ride with Les at the helm.

That is said every year about the gumps and they are still in the National Championship hunt every year.
A "rebuilding season" for the gumps is the NC semifinals.

The last time LSU recruited consecutive Top 5 classes(03-04), had a legitimate QB coach on staff(Fisher), and was able to start third-year QBs or older(Russell, Flynn) was 2005-07.
34-6 Record
2 SEC West Titles
1 SEC Championship
2 BCS Bowl Wins
1 National Championship
I expect that LSU will pull even in the Saban Bowl and match the Tide's National Championships in the next 3 years.

Sadly C
With one year mixed in where all the cards and luck fall in place for us and we make the playoffs. I don't see him winning another NC while he's here.

I'd say A is more likely, strictly because it has proven to be so damn hard to win the SEC these days. I do think they'll average 10 wins per season over that time(which is actually slightly under his career average). Hope I'm wrong and they knock somebody down in ATL. Quite possible if a QB steps up.

I would like to enjoy the season without thinking I know the outcome. When you make it to the Ship, it makes it feel greater. Speculations are great, but how can you speculate anything in college football when you have so many variables. Kids leave early from school, which changes dynamics, injuries happen, coaches leave, or get fired, The kids are young and don't really think long term other than what gives them immediate excitement (I was there I know)
Just enjoy the show and the process. We went a long time from 1958 to 2003. I'm happy the way LSU has played the past 10 years, give or take a few games.. It's a lot better than going back to the 90's. We could be like Georgia, win a lot of games, only has a few SEC Champ to show for it, No National Champs.
