Chuck wants Jimmy to accept a harsh truth. And Mike's ability to complete a job is questioned.

Also found this interesting, Vince G saying they wont nail the timeline and BB canon 100%.

Speaking at a panel discussion for the penultimate episode Pimento this week, co-creator Vince Gilligan stressed that they are probably going to make some mistakes in connecting the canon of the original show to Breaking Bad, Deadline reported.
"We will make mistakes, no doubt about that, but we intend not to, we intend to make as small a number of mistakes as possible.... Instead of us saying 'Yeeeah, we have a vague memory of this happening, but we like this thing better so we won't abide by some offhanded comment or some bit of plot that we had back in Breaking Bad," Gilligan explained.
He added, "We got something better, let's just go with that and hope people squint their eyes at it.' We wanna be as accurate as possible."

I think they probably cornered themselves a few times unintentionally. Like the age of the Mike's grand daughter. That girl was probably too young in Breaking Bad. So to fix that, they had to make her about the same age in BCS.

That and the relative young age of Jesse Pinkman at the beginning of BB vs how he may look in BCS. BOOM!

Jimmy is going to start to get the big triple screw this episode from Chuck, His girl and Hamlin.
That is going to lead to the finale where he officially "breaks bad" and becomes Saul, IMO.

Do not expect Saul in the near future

The one thing I am trying to wrap my head around is how the show has gotten me to empathize with and really feel bad for Jimmy, who is about as sleazy as they come with lawyers. I really should love this show for the drama and comedy while not really liking Jimmy as a person because of his scams, etc. but I find myself loving this show because I genuinely care about slippin Jimmy.
It's weird.

that is something Vince is great at. Look how it worked out in Breaking Bad. Walt starts out a very sympathetic character and turns to a real POS, but then by the end you are cheering for him again. Jesse starts out a POS, and outside of people not liking him "whining" most folks were pulling for him in the end too.

I am in awe of this show. They have somehow struck a perfect balance by making jimmy the central figure without over dramatizing his character, which would get tedious and divert from the huckster charm that makes him a sympathetic figure
Gilligan probably couldve taken skinny pete and turned him into the most compelling show on TV

I'd much rather a badger show, or "The Rise of Cap'n Cook"

It's not "whining" to say he was responsible for Jane OD'ing,,,
Jesse was one fuk up after another, if he's your "hero" then you need to readjust your outlook on life.
Either way I suppose Saul might get Jesse off a drug rap but he would still be in HS or very near it at that time period. He was so small time he wasn't anywhere near Hanks radar so it doesn't seem likely there would be any reason for him to have more than a tiny cameo in this show.
Maybe he will bump into Marie as she is picking something up 5-finger discount in a store, who knows.
