I don't care about the negatigers. I'll continue to say this is one of the most talented teams I've seen at LSU. If these young pitchers can mature quickly as the season goes, we will be in Omaha.
I agree. This is one the best if not the best hitting teams in the PM era just need the pitching to tighten up a little bit

If Maineri starts Bouman tomorrow I'm going to lose my shite.
Paul Mainieri said Kyle Bouman will get the start against UL-Lafayette in the Wally Pontiff Classic tomorrow night

For some reason I have never really thought of Bouman as a guy that can successfully throw more than a few innings. His stuff isn't dominant and he seems to get hit around pretty good. I'm looking for Bain or Newman to challenge Godfrey for the Sunday role or we will just have to plug and play a lot of diff bullpen guys on Sundays. I really am looking forward to Latz coming back. I hope he throws well bc he will add some needed depth

We're going to pitch at least 4-5 different guys.

Our first 12 SEC games are against the four worst ERAs in the league. All are over 4.

Maybe their ERA's are elevated because they pitched against us.

Texas still ranked
It's remarkable. This was "supposed" to be a better team than last year's group who were a game away from the NC series in Omaha.
The new AD has fired the football and basketball coach with the quickness. Next up... Augie? I think he has more rope than Barnes but we'll see... especially if the team craters in conference play.
UT does not BBQ the baseball coach and team like around here, however.

Bouman was solid before he got hurt last year. Maybe starting a game is what he'll need to get his mental toughness back up.

Still undecided on whether I'm making the trip or not tonight

I'd like to make one away series this year since I missed out on Houston.
