The only places worth living in jefferson parish are old Metairie and river ridge

No, im just saying i really don't think you know anything about the city as a whole.
But I'm not dogging NO though, nor did I ever claim to know everything there is to know about it. I've basically only been a tourist there myself just cause I'm from BR. I don't need to know about the whole city to know that it wouldn't fit with my lifestyle to live there as a permanent resident. Basic topography knowledge tells me that.

Don't you ever get tired of looking at so much red and brown?

Plenty of green here as well though, obviously not like in LA, but there is still green here. I just find beauty in the desert and mountains that's all. Right now all the desert wildflowers are blooming everywhere, it really is pretty. Even saw a whole bunch of purple and gold flowers out on my hike the other day, looked awesome mixed in with all the cacti.
Desert is def not for everyone and if you enjoy fishing then yes, I could see it being a turn off and not the place for you.

Neither of which is relevant
But that is totally beyond the issue at hand
We still talking bout dat culture
Portland,Mn is about as culturally significant as Austin, but then again , they probably have about the samd murder rate per capita

I get claustrophobic being land locked. I need to be close to a coast.

Ideally I would love to live somewhere with a coast AND mountains. I think that's why I fell in love with CA when I was there....the combo of the two was pretty awesome imo.
