Peenched instead of pinched.
Had went...that's never acceptable.
And then there's always Valentime's Day.

People in NOVA say "fixing to", like they are "about to" do something.

A lot of people in the south say "do what?" instead of "what did you say?"

My grandmother says hurricunn for hurricane and it always makes me laugh.

My mother says this one. Her excuse is that she thinks "hurriCANE" sounds redneck. ??? Whatever, mom.

She also says "HisPAWNic" because she thinks it sounds more proper than "HisPANic." Like, less racist.

But a couple of mispronunciations that drive me bonkers (and that have gained a lot of momentum in recent years) are seemingly well-educated people saying "drug" instead of "dragged" and people saying "heighth" instead of "height."

Pretty sure you're wrong. A whole lot of people think Sac a Lait and White Perch are the same thing.

Or I could be wrong.

When people use "I" instead of "Me". Seems people do this to try and sound fancier

Ex: Call Bob and I later.

What threw me off was the abysmal spelling of sac-a-lait. So you're probably right.

Every Southerner ITT, even the highly educated nerds, say "elts" instead of "else" and occasionally "hunterd" instead of "hundred"

Probably most of you don't realize that "realtor" has no sound between the l and the t. It is not "reel-a-tor" or "real-i-tor.

"Jew-luh-ree" always gets me too. The correct pronunciation is "jew-wuhl-ree".
