I'd like to go on record saying I nailed the frick out of this.
And no you don't have to be respectful to cops (though I personally am because I know second hand how much of a bitch they can be). It's not against the law to be disrespectful. And it definitely isn't an arrestable offense even if it was.
Now as someone said they can charge him with (a bullshite) obstruction of justice and then resisting arrest but you cannot charge someone with just resisting arrest.
And no running from a cop without being charged with something is NOT resisting arrest. There has to be a charge for an arrest before you can resist. To say otherwise is straight up retarded.

Why ride around on a moped if you think you look like a criminal?
That's begging the cops to be extra assholes.

Looks to me like they just did that.
He was probably acting like an arse, so they ruined his day. Doesn't make it right, just don't act like you own the world and you'll probably get a warning.
Hopefully, there is a video and it comes out.

No they're not , You have to give respect to get respect just like anybody else. All working people risk their lives everyday. Self entitled ? Look in the mirror
Cops are nothing but tax collectors living off the working man. Cops are nothing but arrogant douches who don't have anything of value to give to the work force. Lastly if somebody is giving you respect 9 times out of 10 they have something to hide.

So if I'm disrespectful to a cop and I get arrested for no reason, it's ME who's acting like I own the world?
No, I think it's the other way around.

Ok next time you're harmed, don't call 911 pussy.

I didnt say you had to kiss their arse. Just don't act like a douche, it's an easy concept.
If you want to act like a dumbass, go ahead, they can act like dumbasses to and bring you to jail for the night. Just ask all the partygoers at mardi gras.

I can handle myself bitch. Cops don't fight crime like an imaginary super hero . They report crimes and get lucky every now and then and find a perp .

After seeing the Sam Montgomery arrest video and how he "resisted arrest" I am super skeptical of how cops treat athletes.

I have witnessed how black men are treated by the Leo personally. I'm white, got stopped for speeding . I'm driving the black passenger gets the third degree from the Leo instead of the white driver. It's bullshite

Well he's right.
He wasn't splitting lanes etc?

But yet when a cop acts a total douche we can't do anything to them. Report them and nothing happens. How is that any fair? I know cops, I treat them with respect and they're the type that are respectful even when assholes give them shite. Let's not act like there aren't straight up db cops.

Well alright then badass, when somebody breaks into your house robs you, beats you up, or you get into a wreck and they speed off leaving you totaled, or somebody does anything that physically hurt you, don't call the cops, they're "useless"

I've been pulled over for making a U-turn into a valet parking lane that was on the other side of the street... because there was no center line on the road (2-way traffic on a brick street in a "historic area" of a city in Texas). Didn't matter that there were no cars coming from the other direction.
Could this be a similar situation?
...because that is a moving violation and not something you can be arrested for unless you are doing it in an unsafe manner.
AND he said to go ahead and give him the ticket.
This is trumped up BS IMO.
FWIW - I got pulled over for doing the exact same thing the valet drivers did all the time and it was at my place of employment (I was scooping a coworker who was finishing up while I grabbed my car). Sports car with Louisiana tags was probably why I was singled out.

That's right but your statement shows you are ignorant
Posted on 3/29/15 at 8:37 pm to public_enemy
They are useless. They are going to take the victims statement. Maybe act concerned. Most times they will tell the victim how it was their fault. Make a report that will take them a week to process and hopefully the perp falls into their lap. The victim better hope it doesn't happen during their daily meeting outside the local donut shop.

quote:That BS and you know it. Everything points to Dixon being a total arse and thinking that because he is an NFL player, he can break the law. Instead of showing some intelligence and taking the ticket for the error he made, he compounded it by showing an attitude. He seemed to figure he had the race card he could always pull if things got bad. Instead of being responsible, he mouthed off and got in more trouble than he should have.
Oh OK. So if I'm disrespectful to a cop and I get arrested for no reason, it's ME who's acting like I own the world? No, I think it's the other way around.
Even though a lot of people here want to talk big, I am sure most would have been smart enough and kept their mouths shut while he wrote the ticket.
