Imperfect humans created an organization to represent a perfect God, facts of the world around us may clash with old dogma from the imperfect organization, but personally if you respect God and observe truths of the world around you at the same time then get your child baptized.

when you say child, do you mean baby? It shouldn't be the parents decision for the child. The kid has to make the decision for itself
