They are tops in technology, plus they are the most American made mass market vehicle in the world. 75%-78% American made parts. You are paying the difference for American taxpayers to build your truck.New Chevy owners and Dodge heavy duty owners, does your VIN start with a 3? If so, Pablo built your truck on peanuts for income and you are still paying premium prices.

I have a 2013 crew cab silverado and it's easily the best truck I've owned. I can only imagine how much nicer the 2015s are. I would give first preference to either Chevy or Ford but you really can't go wrong with the Toyota either.

...by the UAW. That's not a selling point at all. I still refuse to own a product that they've touched.
I'd personally go with the Nissan or Toyota for that reason.

I've never owned a Chevrolet but I wouldn't be against it. Their trucks look nice. Some of their cars, too.

My last two Toyotas had recalls. Both pretty serious, too.

I like the Tundra, but I'm curious about the Titan. It's growing on me.
I actually think the GMC looks the best, but their association with the UAW eliminates them and Ford from consideration.
I'd probably go with the Tundra.

I've never had a lick of trouble from any of my GM trucks or SUVs. I've only had minor issues with our Toyotas.
The Fords and Chryslers were a different story.

Unless Ford changed something for the 2015s, the Tundra is actually the most American truck. Build in San Antonio, and somewhere around 78% American parts as well.

What ever brand your loyal to - Ram 1500 is a great choice as well.

Toyota, Honda, and Nissan build more cars and employ more people nearer to my home than GM or Ford.
I think Nissan's North American headquarters are in Nashville. Toyota is moving their North American headquarters to Plano, TX. Both of them employ a lot of people in California as well.

My father has a 14 Silverado. It's already had one recall.
I'm not sold on first year production of any vehicle even though I'm a Ford fan. I've had a couple of Ford trucks that I bought new and never had problems in owning each for a decade. I would just wait for 16 on the Ford.
Only Nissan I've owned was a van and mechanically it was a nightmare. No plans to ever own another Nissan.

It's more like a Ridgeline slept with an El Camino, but I'll be excited to see what Hyundai does with their Santa Cruz concept in the future. Looks like it could be a fun crossover truck.

Get a Ford F-150 Platinum.
And I say that as a lifelong GM owner.

The Ford is the obvious choice in this segment right now.
GM is a player, Toyota is a bit dated, but dead-solid reliable, Ram is coming on.
Nissan is a non-starter.

My last 3 vehicles were Toyotas. Don't get me wrong, they last. However, after a while, they aren't very smooth on the road and the cabin isn't very quiet (especially when driving on the interstate). Are other brands better in those regards? A smooth ride and quiet cabin are pretty important to me.

GM has been behind Ford for over a decade when it comes to reliability, ride and interior. My dad's King Ranch and my buddy's Lariat are head and shoulders above my (newer) Sierra. GM just seems like they cut pennies on the interior with all the plastic.
Plus, the sheer amount of recalls on the 2014s was unbelievable. I had a friend who bought a 2014 Sierra All Terrain when they came out and he's had a ton of problems with it. He's thinking about cutting his losses and trading in for a Tundra or F150.
