Nah, I have to be outside to even hear lawn/house construction type work. Somebody has to be breaking out the jackhammer before I would hear something indoors.

Since you did not mention your wife having a late night reaction to the noise, (women love drama) I can only guess she was at a party. Her activity, or lack thereof, is not the important thing though.

After you were through with your weedeater, did you cut the grass or mow the lawn?

6:45 is too early. I hate mowing soggy grass. I don't do yard work until the dew dries.

Nope. I just enjoy a good laugh.

Oh and calling someone a "huge pussy" on the internet...how very bravado of you.

Why didn't you just walk over, knock on the door, and tell him to tone it down or you'd tell his parents?

You neighbor kid sounds like a punk. Glad you told him what time it was. "Maybe you decide to mow my lawn next time it needs it. Maybe I keep the party a secret. THESE ARE MY DEMANDS!"

Handled the right way IMO. When I played music we had an issue with a neighbor, his wife was pregnant, and they wanted us to keep it down. We had done our best to soundproof our band room, but we didn't want to be dicks about it, we just needed to learn songs once we were all off work.

Anyway, ole boy jumps the fence and comes over to ask us to keep it down one night. We explain to him and showed him the extensive work we had done to the room. We also had asked the police the specifics on the noise ordinance, which by the volume, we were clear until 11pm. So we told him that and said we'd be done at 9pm on practice nights, and we never had a problem after that. Hell, half the time he'd come bring beer over and hang out during breaks. Sometimes I think people just want to know you're not fricking with them on purpose.

So you could have asked the kid last night to turn the music down but you did not.

The kid asks you early in the morning to stop weed eating and you do.

The kid is alpha. He is in charge. The kid does what he wants and he tells you what to do.

At 6 am in the morning cars and trucks are ripping up and down the road, some going to work, some to play golf, fish, hunt, shop, who knows?

I can tell you most of the world is not asleep at 8 am

I don't cut my grass at 6 am sunrise was before 7 am this morning. While you slept I drank my coffee on the patio and watched morning come alive . You should try it!

In my opinion, anybody who does yard work before 10 am is a dirtbag.

Am I the only one that isn't bothered at all by the sound of yard work at any hour? Loud music, especially bass, a whole nother story. Yard work just sounds like white noise to me.

None of it will bother me if it's not a constant happening. I can deal with a couple noisy mornings or nights a month. Every day would be different.
