I agree with that, I just wonder if there really were other options in our price range. Who else of note went for $2 million or less?

I(and probably dell) thought salmons would at least be servicable for what was asked of him. He definitely wasn't though.

Babbitt showed promise last year so it's pretty conceivable they'd given him a shot(and he did become a useful bench shooter)

He saw a chance to get a solid wing in Q-Pon and jumped on it. We probably could've gotten dante earlier if not for legal trouble.

The "of note" part is the trick. I don't think Pondexter (more $ obviously) is of note, but he's been a good fit.

There's a reason Moore was talking about an Aminu type missing on this roster. They needed more help on the wing. Babbitt was never an answer there and they cut Miller early enough that it seems they knew he wasn't either.

There's no stud wing they could have had this summer. But there were guys that looked like a fit for what they needed that they could have taken fliers on. Doesn't mean it would have worked out, of course. But I was puzzled by the lack of wings: they started with 6 bigs and 6, mostly small, combo guards.

But, look, it has worked out fairly well. Pondexter has been a solid, much needed addition. They still need another guy like him, but I've been a big fan of the balance he's brought to the team

We also had Darius Miller coming into the season, a player I think they had high hopes for making the 3rd year jump.
