Yes. So what?
Would voters have still felt the same about nash's performance if he wasnt white? Thats the question

He is the reason they went from the lotto to the best record in the league and he had great stats. That's why he won MVP.
America hates Canada so he had that working against him.

What about the next season he won the mvp?
I asked about both mvps

If LeBron James was white and his name was Larry James... how many MVP's would he have won?

Let's walk through logic here. Rather than did he win b/c he was white, how about how was more deserving?
1st MVP--clearly Shaq was an equal candidate. Did Shaq not win b/c he was black?
If you answer yes, then why did he win a MVP earlier in his career?
2nd MVP--I don't think anyone was close. Maybe Bron, maybe Dirk. Did Dirk not win b/c he was black? Oh wait. Did Bron not win b/c he was black?

Kobe Bryant should have been your 2006 MVP.
First player to average over 35 PPG since MJ in 1988. 28 PER. Led the Lakers to 45 wins with a ragtag roster consisting of Lamar Odom and a bunch of slaw (Smush Parker, Chris Mihm, Kwame Brown, Von Wafer etc)
- Scored 81 vs Toronto (most since Wilt over 40 years earlier)
- Outscored Dallas 62-61 in three quarters by himself.
- Four straight 50+ point games (first since Wilt)
- averaged 44 PPG in the month of January
- Bryant had 27 40+ point games
And he did this to Nash the MVP

People get so worked up over race

A player on a team who wins only 45 games should never be MVP.

Larry James. The NBA's MVP 11 years running.

That's dumb. That Lakers team would not have won 20 games without Kobe that year.
The Suns would've still been a playoff team without Nash.

Shaq had a better case the year before, not sure I would have Kobe in the top 3 that season.

Are you guys looking at the right years for Shaq? By 05 and 06 he was in serious decline and putting up the worst numbers of his career.
