Man I really like the way you think.

If still in Nola or Baton Rouge, then ok to include.

If outside the state, then absolutely no reason to keep it. I'm always surprised at how much some folks care about where they went to high school but to each his own.

It doesn't bother, it's just no one else has bothered to explain what it brings to the table.

In BR and NOLA, it means something. Did you skip over those 50+ posts?

I went to Jesuit and I'm a lawyer in NOLA, so yes it mattered quite a bit when I was younger. I know for a fact I received several interviews because the interviewing attorney went to Jesuit and saw it on my resume, which then led to job offers. As I grow older though, it matters less and less.

I'd be more inclined to put shite like:

fricked a Playboy model
Fingered Britney before Kfed
Did the gallon challenge
Have driven a car 182mph
Went to a party at Tom Benson's house
Was on Bangbus
My ex was on GGW
Have a chainsaw and keep a stash of fireworks all year

5.5 of those are true

Being that I applied in my hometown, I put it. Didn't put any awards or sports or anything, just the school and dates of attendance.

Not you in general. Between the 2 threads its

"You're a loser who can't let go of high school"

And

"You're a loser who couldn't letter in high school"

Kind of LOL but not really.

I imagine a school like Andover and others carry weight with alums.

Okay, for that VERY small % of the population - go for it!

If you have a college degree, then there's no need for you to put your HS on your resume, unless you're a 1%'er and went to the likes of Andover.

The bottom line is that you put things on your resume that are legitimate and will help you.

If you feel that your high school could help you with whoever you are sending it to, add it. If it doesn't help you (ie. Rummeltiger), or if the hiring party wont be familiar with it, don't add it.
