You should be fine between 110 and 160. My 95 V8 5.2L Grand Cherokee is still going strong with almost 180k

Thanks for all the help in this thread. Anything specific I should watch out for when looking? I'm hoping to get a 97+ model

Check the frame for rust. Most likely you'll be buying one that was a southern Jeep most of its life, but carfax can help with that as well. Mine spent some time in PA, but it was pulled behind a RV a little and looks like it didn't see much time in the snow/salty roads. Very low mileage. The guy I bought it from in Huntsville had bought it as a third vehicle, and only drove it some on weekends. Told me he had bought it from an older couple in Gardendale, who told him about the RV towing. They retired down here to be close to family. But check a few spots.

If there is any type of nerf bars/steps, check how they're mounted. The ones that were on mine when I got it were smittybilt and about a year later rusted completely through and fell to the ground when I was standing on one. It was mounted to the frame, and there was a good bit of rust on the mount, but the frame was fine. Just something to check if you see any add ons like that. Also check the rear part of the frame. Lots of water gets kicked up by the tires and I've seen pics on jeepforum of frame patches in that area as well.

And always be wary of anyone that has it lifted 4 inches, with a winch, on 33s, and tells you they haven't offroaded it or abused it. Ask about gearing in the axles if it is lifted. If they were regeared, see if they have proof of who did the work. These things are all over the place in good condition, so there's no reason to waste your time and money on something someone's redneck cousin lifted and regeared for them in the yard.
