and now we have a Tim Fox

LINK /

Far more easygoing and empathetic than his dad, Tim is a successful high school football coach who is offered the chance to be the head coach of the Penn Institute Of Science and Technology (PIST), and carve a winning football team out of the dweeby student body. But there’s a little caveat: they want Tim to hire his controlling (and now-retired) dad to be his assistant coach. Tim knows it’s only a matter of time before he and his old man are butting heads over how to coach and how to raise Tim’s son Cody.

Coach's theme song is swcond only to Cheers in my book. I grew up watching it with my dad. Then in high school, I would watch the re-runs before getting a ride to school. I remember it pretty well. I'm actually looking forward to this.

loved the original

This.

Especially if they keep the theme music (one of tGOATs IMO) the same.

I remember watching as a kid, just don't remember many episode specific details. I do recall them playing Alabama in one episode though. That one kinda stuck with me.
That was the last episode I watched.

She's 71. She didn't go the plastic surgery route that Craig T went.

I just realized that this was an old thread, and that I had already responded about watching this, as well as the theme song being discussed.

One of the best episodes I saw is when coach finds out one of his old players has cancer after taking steroids for much of his playing career. Coach admits to knowing about it at the end.

Pretty dramatic stuff for that show.
