I don't get what the big deal is? I mean, aren't these kids PAYING to be treated like this?

My guess is that this kid was some fat turd who the brothers at acacia took a particular interest in.

Sorry. I just saw this was a Reveille article. Disregard what I said because none of what was said in that article is remotely true.

Yeah, he was pretty dominant. They had a big tight end who could run pretty well, too.

I remember them beating us but I don't remember if we ever beat them. I'm pretty sure our A team won a championship while I was there, so I think we may have.

Fun guys to drink with, too.

frick, I miss college.

Was he the quarterback?
My senior year we beat you in greek league finals but go smoked by the open team most of yall were also on. The next year we won the whole thing and went to nationals which was conveniently in Metairie.

Never made them do degrading crap. My room stayed clean and I always had a runner and note taker when I decided that drinking beer and looking at girls was more important than class, though. I never understood why people would want to make them do things like eating vomit or smoking a ton of cigs, etc-- especially when you can just make them make your life easier.

It all kinda runs together for me. My freshman or sophomore year, we went to regionals at Southern Miss and won it all. We were invited to go to Dallas for Nationals as one of 8 teams from around the country. They were going to give us hotel rooms and $1,000.00 in "travel money".

However, the tournament was the same weekend LSU was playing Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl that weekend so we declined Natinoals so we could go to New Orleans and party.

And that, my friends, is how you do it.

The quarterback was Shakira/ Magic Hips. The big tight end was some dude who ran well and had good hands. He was always a tough cover. Y'all had a corner who would always line up on me, too and he was pretty decent. Yall just had a scrappy group.

Kid is 100 percent a liar. He had an agenda from the beginning. Sadly, he ruined the college career for many young men. I wonder if he feels good about himself. If he is so concerned about everything why did he not speak up at the beginning. Obviously, everyone knows who he is. If he had any integrity he would show his face on camera for the interviews. I would also like to know how he became an expert on nicotine poisoning. And no one can make you do something you do not want to do. If you allow that then something is wrong with you.

If you do not like fraternities then don't join one but do not make stupid comments about something you do not know about or will never be privileged enough to understand. Take your time and energy b@tching about something that really matters.

I think the issue was those great frat teams back in the day didnt have much competition until late in the playoffs or even the campus championship.

Idk what era you are talking about but I played on my frat team from 07-10 and we were pretty good. But one year, we were really damn good. Either 09 or 10 I wanna say. We won the Greek league. And got to play the open league winner at the Pmac.

Not gonna lie, we got absolutely wrecked. I mean just fricking boat raced. It was embarrassing. They toyed with us.

lol, what!? Ruined the college career?

You're still talking about a fraternity, right? Were the members of the fraternity expelled from school or something?

This is why people laugh at Greeks. So ridiculously dramatic.

I was there from 05-09 and we were always pretty competitive.

Just seeing this thread. I was in a large fraternity at LSU about 20 years ago and hell week sucked, but we did not do anything like this.

I'm not going to go into too many specifics about what we had to do (okay, one of the worst things was probably no sleep for a week) but nothing was dangerous or just outright disgusting.

In hindsight shooting tequila mixed with Tabasco until we puked was pretty stupid, but that was as bad as it got. No eating of dog food, rotten food, vomit, etc. I would have just walked out if that were the case.

If true, these are some sick frickers. I am glad my hell week experience was not like this.....

The real question is why non-greeks are so concerned about and interested in what greeks are doing. It's just none of your business.

You say that, but every time some frat drinks a pledge to death and leaves him in a room full of passed out (but not dead) pledges so the paramedics have to check all of them to find the one that isn't breathing, the administration cracks down on everybody. That's how you get groups like "Students on Target" and all of the silly "no drinking games in Baton Rouge bars" laws and rules. It ruins the college experience for everyone.

After your generation/class, the greeks dropped of hard. Especially in basketball.

We beat them and they beat us. They were our only real competition while I was there. Those were always fun games, and then we'd go to Bogies after
