This is the second year in a row that he's gotten hurt right at the end of the season.

I'd honestly be surprised if he didn't play through it. This could make us even more thin at point guard.

Thanks for starting this thread, so us Rockets fan didn't have to.

Were my original thoughts.

I was tempted to make the "Dwight returning to starting lineup against Pels" thread

The possibilities

Wouldn't be a HUGE loss imo. I'd rather him on the bench at the end of games in favor of Brewer. Let Ariza guard the opposing teams best perimeter player. I think Terry getting more minutes in playoffs would be a bonus too. He's bad on defense but in a close game there's no one on the roster I'd rather have taking a clutch shot.

Beverley has not had a great season. He hasn't been great on defense all year for some weird reason. That's his best attribute, and he was seemingly just average at it.

He started the year off hot from 3, which was pretty much all he was doing out there since his defense wasn't up to par, and the rest of his offensive game is lacking.

But for the past couple months his 3-point shot has also disappeared.

So there isn't really anything he's doing effectively on the court currently.

I don't know if he's been dealing with injuries all year or what... but he hasn't been the same this year.

Just looked it up, and the Rockets are 12-2 without Beverley this year.

13-2 if you count the game yesterday.

Wow, didn't realize they had been that good without him.

I didn't realize that either, and I'm a Bev hater. But I really do think he has value in the playoffs. His mind games are worth it.

Which games was that? How do you find that information?

Edit: Nevermind, I found it.
