Just saw a guy get hit walking across the street. Updated on pg 4 with link

I am still in shock. Had my 12 year old daughter in the car coming back from a swim banquet…about to pull into our street. A man walking across one of the busiest streets in Lexington (8 lanes across) towards a city bus carrying a pizza box. I can not get the image of the guy flying in the air and hitting the bus after getting hit by a car of a college kid.
My daughter is pretty upset. I will never forget him laying on the road gasping and the blood gushing out of his head. Man, I am lost for words. Hug your children…family members…
I have been through MVA 2001 and survive a transected aerota and had a near death experience…this has me pretty messed up a bit.

Stout, I probably watched the man gasped for his last breaths. My daughter is pretty upset about it…she was freaking out when we saw the guy get hit. Brave girl.

I saw a guy on a motorcycle get hit years ago. I was probably 12 when it happened but it sticks with you for sure. He was on a black bike dressed in black leather and when he got hit he did like 50 flips. He was flipping so fast and so much it looked like a trash bag blowing in the air until he stopped.
Never found out if he lived but it's hard to imagine that he did.

The guy was walking with no fear across this road…it was like he was expecting the traffic to stop for him to get to the bus. The college kid did not stop at all. I tried to flash my lights and honk my horn..I saw it coming. I never seen anyone flip high in the air like he did. It was shocking that it happened.

My dad used to be an on-site insurance adjuster, and after he went independent, sometimes we had to go out with him (as he was technically on call 24/7). I remember seeing the results of a bad accident (brain matter, pools of blood) before my dad realized they didn't finish cleaning up and threw me back in the car.
Nightmares for a couple of weeks after that.

Not trolling I've seen some bad shite in my day. It helps If you can concentrate on the details of the scene as opposed to the victim. It helps me anyhow.
