Pedro tournaments are fun, until you play a pair that been playing since Nam and know everything you have in your hand after the first play.

was my main source of revenue back in high school.... the Trojan Tavern was pretty lax on their ID'ing...

and once i was of age, Beck's became another cash grab for us, but that one was a little tougher...

and yeah, those longtime partners would get PISSED when they got beat by a couple of 18 year old kids....

It has it's ups and downs. You guys aren't exactly an unlimited pool of talent in a town struggling to say it has 60k people. I'll take my girls over the folks down the road. At least they don't fight each other and get the cops called on them.

If by DTR you mean TP well that place sucks. Went there a couple times a year ago, once it took 45min to get served, the next time I have no clue because I left after 45min. Never been back.

I'm anti cut throat because it's no thinking, no strategy. It's all chance. If you pay attention just a little in follow suit, you'll know who has what (or at least power and amount of trump). Cut throat is like boure without having to take a trick. It's bs.

It hasn't changed. The only bad thing is I'm getting their clientele back and they can be a bit low brow. Hopefully Walk On's takes them.

The usual MLK hate and people getting offended if it isn't referred to anything other than God's Country.

Started out as an "where should I live" thread and has evolved into a "who fricks up pedro games more" Houma or Thibodaux.

I've tried to teach these Canadians and Muslims how to play pedro, but they can't grasp it. Guess they aren't as smart as us coonasses

If you can get your food. I think TP is a little more creative with their presentation. Hooters needs to shake things up, there're like the K Mart of breasturants. Hooters is an 80's time capsule in a way.

Shaking it up would take us away from our niche. The menu is starting to get too big as it is. I'm in favor of small menu and doing it well. As far as restaurants go in general, ticket times for these types of places average 20 minutes or more now. The public wants extras (better presentation, special orders, etc) but they still want it in 10 minutes. It just isn't going to happen.

Let me axe you something for real. Why does Hooters even have raw oysters on the menu? If I was back in my college frat days this would be my go to haze for pledges.

As far as the decisions makers go, probably because it was on the original menu. As for me, I sell the shite out of oysters in season. My store sells the most seafood in our company. Except for that fricking cod shite we have now.

I usually sit at the bar and have never waited more than 10-20 min for my food at TP.
