$12 a point. May even go $11 if you're nice.

this park is simply amazing during the Food and Wine festival.

I agree 100%, and part of the reason we go to the LSU-Florida game every other year.

In the case of renting your points, would someone just pay you directly and then you would make the reservation in their name ?

Do you have these and rent them out every year ? I'm going in 2 years and want to stay a few nights at the grand Floridian. If you have them then I will be a buyer then ... I assume I can't just rent them now and "bank" them till then can I ?

On one of those stupid buzzfeed-type lists they had something about the staff at disneyworld. Something like they were so highly trained that you could put a piece of gum on the ground and come back in the morning and it'd be gone.

How meticulous is the training, like how long does it last?
I worked season there from around 1996 to 2000 or 2001, and there was really no specialized training like you'd think or assume. Granted, in orientation and training, they really hammer home the Disney way and how things are done, but at least when I did it there was nothing really specific.

It does always amaze me how other big companies don't even come close to matching the customer service that Disney does.

So you'd probably do $9 for your ol' pal terd huh?

Seriously though... isn't it like $20K plus to buy in initially?

There is an older thread about buying DVC.

Better value at resale rather than through Disney.

It's worth is if you go often and stay in a deluxe resort. If your more of value resort vacationer than its not worth it.

Or you could choose to become a Member at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and purchase a real estate interest equal to 150 Vacation Points package. Here's what your cost of Membership would be, based on the current price per point of $165:

150 Vacation Points
x $165 per Vacation Point
= $24,750 Purchase Price

+ $434 Closing costs
+ $828 Annual Dues*
= $26,012 Total Initial Cost

More like a lease-in since the property eventually reverts back to Disney..........for free.

what's the board's recommendation on the best month of the year to go?

I've been in late june and late november. It was less crowded in june and when I went in november, I had to pack warm and cool clothes. I prefer june out of those two.

Even at Deluxe Resorts, staying a week a year, it takes 13 years to break even.
