I remember reading a thread here and being linked over to the thread on misc in 2013. If you missed it...

quote:

In may of 2013, I was at rock bottom. I was nearly 700 lbs. I had not left the house in years. I also hadn’t been able to fit in my own shower in years. I had given up on life and had no future. My days were spent idling for hours in front of my computer, playing computer games or trolling the internet looking to get a rise out of people. Negativity was all I had and all I was about.

Guy eventually was convinced to make some life changes by posters on the forum and has stuck with it. I try to remember to check in on his progress now and then.

May 2013 (the beginning)

Hadn't been able to shower in 2 years

He's now lost 353 pounds and is down to 299 pounds.

I would still not want to sit next to him in Coach.

Happy for his loss.

That's pretty inspiring.

You have to be pretty miserable to talk shite about this guy.

Gonna have some serious lose skin when it's all said and done

Was pretty cool to see everybody do literally everything possible to try to save his life back when he started

reading through the early pages of his thread was horribly sad. Guy sounded like someone ready to give up on life.

Might want to look into some plastic surgery to remove some of that loose skin. Not saying that to mock the man mind you, it just might be something he wants to look at going forward. Best of luck to him.

I seriously do not know if be can afford it and am not sure if be has insurance..

I know at one time he wasn't working and his mom provided everything for him.

I think he works on computers now.. The bb.com community has helped him out in the past. I say this time next year he'll be 220.

Amazing, good for him.

He looks like he's melting though.

He looks like he is getting closer to a natural body weight for him, which is a great thing. Though sometimes losing that last 30-40 pounds can be as difficult as losing a couple of hundred.

I have to commend him for the hard work. There's no reason for anyone to bash him for trying to completely change his lifestyle and get healthy.

He's probably already close to that now, excluding the excess skin.

Agreed. In about 30 more lbs loose skin is going to look horrid, I hope he's able to get plastic surgery that would be the icing on the cake of the "redemption story".

I have checked in every few months also. The miscers on bodybuilding.com really helped him out. They taught him, sent him healthy gifts, and workout equipment and advice. He was on his way to a very young death at 700 pounds and no personal hygiene. He couldn't even stand up. He now rides his bike to the gym and has a reason to live and enjoy life again. I'm happy for the guy, and he's not even close to where he wants to be yet.

Yes the pics are gross, but it's really getting better. He said when he gets to his ideal weight he's going to have surgery to remove the lose skin. He did it all to himself to get that way, but he's losing it all with his own hard work and dedication.

Pretty cool feel good story, you'll see him on Ellen or something within the next couple years.

Looks like he's doing it at a steady pace. That's remarkable for just a couple years.

Good on him.
