Yes, b/c they have football and basketball which is more valuable for networks than just basketball.

They also shot themselves in the foot by going with FS1 where they have had god awful ratings. Their exposure level is massively down and will remain so for some time.

The Big East was smart by leaving the non FCS 1-AAA schools behind IMO.

Will it benefit them who knows? But they wanted to seperate themselves from football.

You can add the SEC to the list, though everyone knew they would suck in the tournament. Meanwhile, the shitty arse (no sarcasm) Pac 12 has 3 teams in the Sweet Sixteen (though UCLA had no business making the tournament), and the Big Ten can make it 3 if Murrahland wins. shite, if UNI(ty) wins, the MVC will have 2 teams.

The SEC won every game it was favored, and lost every game it wasn't.

So yeah, I don't think I would say it sucked.

3/5 teams losing in the first round? Yeah, the SEC sucks.

Are we seriously counting that though?

I forgot about Ole Miss. They actually won a game that they weren't favored.

Georgia drew Michigan State. There are a ton of teams in this tournament that wouldn't beat them.

The SEC isn't great. But I don't think it did "embarrassing" in the tournament.

Again, every time it was a higher seed, it won. Every time it was a lower seed, it lost.

That's not that embarrassing.

Are you seriously going to pretend it didn't happen?

Oh no, it happened, but I don't consider the play-in games to be legit tournament games.

Well, they are. Regardless of what you consider them.

Big 12 shite the bed, but they could still have two teams in the 16 if WVU wins.

The only team that the Big East has left beat an 11 and a 14, as thoroughly discussed in an earlier thread. Of course, that's Oklahoma's resume too.

So if WVU wins, I go with the Big East. If they lose, I go Big 12.

You are correct.

They probably won't have Cincinnati in about three years, though.

Can't tell shite about conference strength in a single elimination, lose and GTFO tournament. The Big-12 was a gauntlet to have to go through during the regular season, night-in night-out.

It's all about matchups and who's hot or has momentum. Even the SEC, with all the shite that gets thrown its way, you can't look at the league and say the tournament proved how shitty it was.

LSU vs NC State - the team that just bounced a #1 seed. That was a choke job like none other and LSU was dominating that game. Michigan State just took out a #2. Hell, half the Elite Eight could be made up of teams that put out SEC teams.

Come again?

The AAC is the conference that will become irrelevant in basketball.

In fact, it's record in this tournament was 0-1.

How can its record be 0-1, when it got 2 teams in?

We've covered this. I forgot Cincinnati.

They were 1-2. Doubt Cincy will be in the AAC in three years though

What is UNO going to do to ensure Division status with the budget cus coming here in Louisiana?

Sounds like you would have some insight.
