Thought I had it first thing this morning. Don't quite make it. Still had a hell of a day.

Took 33 lbs. to win. I think we had 18.5 or so. Just couldn't catch a 5th over. Thought we had it a couple of times but neither fish would measure.

Took 20 to get a check, I think.

I'd put GB up against any lake around here right now, Toledo, Fork, Caddo, etc... Sucks that I probably won't make it back down there until next year.

Meh, I would rather have a new power pole.

Clyde could probably swing a measly power pole with those high dollar longhorn genetics he's got grazing the back 40.

Not really. There's a little pier, but you'd probably be wasting your time tying to fish from the bank up there.

Bass for Bucks yesterday on Vernon. 21 pounds took first, and big bass was somewhere between 7-8. Caught a couple of overs, which used to be 17 inches, but couldn't support them with anything worth a crap. Missed a couple that might of put us in the money. Weighed 5, over 8lbs. I've never fished so hard in crappy weather and caught so few. Did win a 40 dollar gift cert. from wally, door prize. Got my trny. fee back. 39 boats with plenty of free beer and food along with some good hearted ribbing and fellowship.

Thought I might have it in the bag today but she was about 5 oz shy of the needed mark.
Do I get a 6 oz bonus for being in the yak?

Can't deal with the whole rod thing behind me (casting 3/4 arm can get messy REAL fast) so I fashioned a horizontal rod holder to hold four rods right in front of me.
Works great when I'm fishing a jig/pig, etc. and they blow up nearby where I have to grab a fluke rod real quick, but yeah..... can get a bit busy in there at times.
Whatever it takes right?

Damn. That's a pig. Thanks for being honest about the weight.

I thought we had a winner when I saw the pic...
