I'd also recommend going on up to Oil City and take a left on Hwy. 2. Put in on North end of Jeems bayou where Hwy. 2 crosses it and fish to the South back towards the main lake.

Another good spot for a kayak. One of the bigger local tournaments was recently won in that area. I hear somebody bought Drift In and has really fixed it up.

Damn it. I turned down a trip with my buddy on Clearlake this weekend. We routinely catch 6 to 8 lbers on that lake.
