I had a good one at Sammy's recently but find them to be somewhat inconsistent.

Any suggestions?

Capital city Crawfish is good but a little too spicy batter.
Randy Montalbano's has great bread but oysters could be crispier.

those are the only places I eat them.

Oh yeah forgot about Dempsey's since they moved out of the neighborhood. Might be the best.

George's or Dempsey's both have great oyster poboys. Nothing like the ones Giamnaco's used to have.

of course, because it is totally unfathomable that a place in BR good put some properly fried oysters on a good piece of fresh french bread and dress it.

i bet i could go 65 miles to the east and get the PERFECT example though

is that how this is supposed to go?
